Em trinos de reconhecimento da prova as atletas Ashleigh Moolman Pasio (CCC-Liv), Ella Harris (Canyon-SRAM) and Clara Koppenburg (Équipe Paule Ka) tiveram um acidente que as retira a possibilidade de disputarem a prova.

Moolman Pasio teve que levar 60 pontos para fechar as feridas da queda.

Harris partiu o quadril e aguarda uma operação e uma longa recuperação pela sua frente.

Já sobre Koppenburg não se sabe pormenores.

Por outro lado a Trek Segafredo terá que começar a prova com o material suplente e emprestado, depois das suas Emonda bikes terem sido roubadas durante a noite.

Bad start to the day for the team in Italy. Six Trek Émonda of the women team were stolen in the night. The thieves broke through the roof of the truck and took the bikes. The riders will still start the @StradeBianche on spare bikes.
